The Village Properties Teacher’s Fund

Last year the horrific news of the ongoing school budget cuts was announced. Our school systems, already struggling with depleted resources, will be forced to cut many programs, supplies and other valuable educational tools.

Village Properties is doing something about it. In November of 2002 the owners of Village Properties, Renee Grubb and Ed Edick, created The Teacher’s Fund. The Teacher’s Fund is a non-profit organization that helps local elementary school teachers fund the supplies they so desperately need.

To date, The Village Properties Teacher’s Fund has awarded over $64,000 to more than 196 classrooms.

Each month, The Village Properties Teacher’s Fund Judges Committee meets to distribute funds to as many teachers’ requests as possible. The Judge’s Committee consists of Renee Grubb and Ed Edick of Village Properties, Mayor Marty Blum, Larry Crandell, Jennifer Finley, representing Lois Capps, David Edelman of Cox Communications, and Dawn Villone and Rachael Caron of Echo Media.

While we may not be able to solve the budget crisis, we can make a difference, one classroom at a time.

To make a donation or submit an application, click the above Teacher’s Fund logo. 100% of your donation goes directly to the classroom.
